Terms & Conditions
About these terms
These terms apply when you use Campus Sawa on campussawa.com, app.campussawa.com or our mobile apps. By accepting them you agree to follow them. Campus Sawa is run by Mohamed Sherif (mohamedsalahsh750@gmail.com) and Ahmed Sameh (ahmedsamehelemary@gmail.com). "Campus Sawa" is the name of the service; it is not a registered company.
Campus Sawa is not part of, partnered with or endorsed by any university. Contact us through Support in the app or on app.campussawa.com, or by email to either of the addresses above.
Who can use Campus Sawa
- You must be 18 or older and a university student.
- You must give true information and pass student verification. You can browse trips while your ID is being reviewed; booking, posting trips and payments open once it is approved.
- One account per person. Keep your password private and don't let anyone else use your account.
- Alexandria is open now. Cairo is coming soon.
What Campus Sawa does
Campus Sawa connects students who share a trip. Drivers are students using their own vehicles on journeys they are already making; Campus Sawa is not a transport company and does not employ drivers. Fares share the cost of the trip.
During the current preview, trips are for testing and payments are simulated.
Drivers
- Keep a valid driving licence, vehicle licence and insurance as required by law, and keep your vehicle safe to drive.
- Our document review does not guarantee a driver's skill or a vehicle's condition.
- Students book your seats instantly; there is no request to approve. Campus Sawa may add pickups along your route, adding at most ten minutes of driving to the whole trip.
- A motorcycle carries one passenger, and both of you wear helmets.
- Trips by women drivers are open to women students only.
- Cancelling after passengers are confirmed is recorded and reviewed.
Passengers and guests
- Be at the pickup point on time and treat the driver and other passengers with respect.
- You may book a second seat for a fellow student. You are responsible for confirming they meet the trip's rules (for example, a woman student on a women-only trip). Your confirmation does not verify the guest.
- Women students may see trips by women drivers first, when available.
Booking and fares
- Booking is instant. Your seat is held for five minutes while you complete the payment step; if it isn't completed in time, or the trip starts first, the seat is released.
- Before you book, you see the estimated fare and the maximum total. The final fare can go down if more students share your route, and you are never charged more than the maximum.
- Pickup times and seat availability are estimates and can change.
Cancellations and attendance
There is no fee for cancelling or not showing up. Late cancellations and no-shows can count as incidents: three within 90 days pause new bookings for three days, and the count starts again after the pause. Existing bookings and driving are not blocked by this pause. Our team can review an incident and correct mistakes. Money returned after a cancellation is covered by the Refund Policy.
Safety and behaviour
Follow the law and treat everyone with respect. Harassment, discrimination, unsafe driving, false information and misuse of the service are not allowed. Report a problem through Support in the app. In an emergency, call the police on 122 or an ambulance on 123 first.
We may pause or close an account for safety reasons, fraud, or serious or repeated breaches of these terms, after reviewing what happened.
Support
Open a ticket from Support in the app or on the website for rides, refunds, privacy or your account. We aim to reply within 24 hours; some cases take longer to resolve.
Responsibility
We work to keep Campus Sawa running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Drivers and passengers are responsible for their own conduct. Nothing in these terms removes rights that you have under Egyptian law and that cannot be given up.
Changes and law
When we change these terms we publish a new version with its date. For important changes we tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new version before you continue. These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt.
